Original Brother Bill Medley was joined by Bucky Heard in a concert in Sarasota Florida that featured their biggest hits, including the most played song in radio history: “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’.” WSRQ General Manager Jim Schaffner was there with Bill Medley. After a five-decade music career that includes No. 1 hits, a Grammy and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Bill Medley is back performing in the group that started it all for him. Bobby Hatfield, who passed away in 2003 and Bill Medley’s soulful singing resulted in hits as the Righteous Brothers in the 1960s including “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’” and their rendition of “Unchained Melody.” They had a career revival in the ’90s following those songs’ respective appearances in the blockbuster films “Top Gun” and “Ghost.
Medley also pursued a solo career that included the No. 1 duet ”(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” with Jennifer Warnes for the movie “Dirty Dancing,” which won a Grammy and an Oscar.
