Rod Stewart will celebrate his 50 years as a solo artist with the November 22nd release of You're In My Heart: Rod Stewart With The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The album combines classic vocal tracks from Rod's biggest hits along with newly recorded arrangements by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO). Rod joins a growing list of artists who have tapped the RPO to supplement their evergreen masters, including Elvis Presley, the Beach Boys, Aretha Franklin, and Roy Orbison.

Highlights on the set include a new recording of the 1966 Marvin Gaye & Kim Weston Motown classic "It Takes Two" featuring Robbie Williams, as well as the new track, "Stop Loving Her Today."

Among the legendary tunes revamped and given the orchestral treatment are such hits as "Maggie May," "Reason To Believe," "Tonight’s The Night (Gonna Be Alright)," "You’re In My Heart (The Final Acclaim)," "Stay With Me" with the Faces, "Forever Young," "Rhythm Of My Heart," and "Have I Told You Lately," among others.

With Rod Stewart once again taking charge in the studio over the recent years, we asked him if he was trying in some way to recapture the magic found on his classic early-'70s albums: ["Well, you can't recreate those, y'know, the atmosphere that was around in the studio (and) the way I felt back in those days, y'know? In those days I was in my late-'20s. Y'know, you've done this music and you've done it once and I swear to God you can do it again if you put your mind to it. The themes of the songs are a little bit more adult now; there's no 'Hot Legs' or 'Do You Think I'm Sexy?' but there are songs I think people can relate to."] SOUNDCUE (:23 OC: . . . can relate to)
