The Beatles have partnered with the retail chain Crate & Barrel for a series of 21 iconic images of the band sold online and in its physical outlets. The prints, which run between $199 and $650, feature images of the "Fab Four" landing in America in 1964, in London's Hyde Park during the Beatles For Sale photo shoot, promotional shots for 1965's Rubber Soul, the cover of the legendary 1966 Revolver album, and an alternate shot from the photos session for the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover, along with legendary photographs from 1968's "Mad Day Out" photo session, and the group's second-to-last photo shoot from April 9th, 1969.
The Crate & Barrel site pitches the Beatles prints by saying, "Decorate with more monochromatic photos of the rock band, or bring in some color by displaying prints of their album covers — wall art featuring Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and Yellow Submarine instantly brighten the room. To tie everything together, showcase your instruments, record player or speakers near your Beatles prints."
Although there was a definite push and pull between the four Beatles that ended up producing, arguably, the greatest music of the 20th century, Paul McCartney maintains that today he's left with only a deeply warm feelings for his bandmates, the work they created, and the positivity they left in their wake: ["I just remember love. Y'know, it's like, in a family, sometimes you can argue, but in the end you just love your family, and the guys in the Beatles are like my family. So, even though we had differences — and in the studio sometimes it was quite difficult; y'know, somebody wanted to do something. . . so, it was quite interesting. But in the end, you end up with great memories. And, yeah, when I think of John (Lennon), I think of love."] SOUNDCUE (:29 OC: . . . think of love)
